My belief in collective liberation guides my work with clients; that the struggles we experience are deeply interconnected and together we can create a better path forward. I work from an anti-oppressive, intersectional framework. Identity shapes lived experience, and it's not possible to separate who we are from how we exist in the world.
My therapeutic style is integrative and tailored to toward what works best for each individual client. That said, my main approaches to counseling are narrative, feminist, and strengths-based. Together, these theories mean that the stories we tell about ourselves and our lives are directly related to how we make sense of our experiences, that we are all interacting with how the norms of dominant culture have impacted how we see ourselves, and that I truly believe we can tap into our strength and resilience to heal and thrive.
My practice is focused on LGBTQ+ communities, including family members of LGBTQ+ individuals. I see clients of all genders and sexual identities.
"The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion"
